Dr. Carrie Arquitt is a board certified specialist in Pediatric Dentistry. She has been in practice since 1999, practicing in a variety of settings including a multi-dentist private practice, a mobile dental office and a public health office which led to her opening her own practice, Arquitt Pediatric Dentistry, in 2007 in Springfield, Missouri.
Dr. Arquitt completed her General Dentistry and Pediatric Dentistry specialty training at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. It was during her dental school training that she realized her passion for working with children, and received an additional three years of training after dental school to become a Pediatric Dentist. This includes intense training in prevention, growth and development, sedation, leadership training and working with patients who have special needs and medical concerns. As a parent herself, she understands the uniqueness of each child and strives to provide individual plans to suit her patient’s needs.
Dentistry is a rapidly changing field, and to stay current Dr. Arquitt completes annual continuing education specifically in the field of pediatric dentistry, and is active in many local and national organizations. These include but are not limited to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, The American Dental Association and The Missouri Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Arquitt is also a member of The Junior League of Springfield and Trinity Presbyterian Church. She is married to fellow dentist/oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. George Arquitt, and stays busy being mom to two active daughters, Katherine and Ansley.
Dr. Arquitt has been honored to receive the Springfield Business Journal 40 under 40 award, 417 magazine Top Dentist, and top 3% board score in her specialty. She has also been inducted into the American College of Dentistry and the International College of Dentistry. These are both societies that are peer nominated and honor dentists for leadership and ethics in dentistry.
